Privacy Policy

We collect information you provide and information generated as you use Lebalist:

• Account information — your phone number, username, display name, and any profile details you add when you sign up or sign in.
• Listings and content — the titles, descriptions, prices, categories, photos, and location you choose to publish, along with messages you send through the platform.
• Location data — the city, governorate, or approximate location you attach to a listing or use to find nearby results. We do not track your precise location in the background.
• Device and usage data — basic technical information such as device type, app version, and how you interact with listings, used to keep the service reliable and secure.
• Photos, video, and camera — images and short videos you capture or select in order to attach them to a listing, a community case, or a post. We access your camera and photo library only while you are adding media, and only the files you choose are uploaded.
• Notification tokens — if you allow notifications, we store a push token for your device so we can alert you about your listings, bookings, and community cases. You can revoke this at any time in your device settings.
• Passkeys and sign-in credentials — if you create a passkey, we store only its public key and identifier. Your biometric data (Face ID, Touch ID, or fingerprint) never leaves your device and is never sent to us.

Lebalist asks for a permission only at the moment a feature needs it, and the app keeps working if you decline — you simply cannot use that particular feature.

• Camera — to photograph or film an item you are listing, or evidence for a community case.
• Microphone — captured only as part of a video you record. We do not record audio on its own.
• Photo library — to let you pick existing images for a listing or profile. We upload only the files you select.
• Location — to show listings and services near you and to attach a city or area to something you post. Used only while the app is open; we do not track you in the background.
• Notifications — to tell you about activity on your listings, bookings, and community cases.

• Create and secure your account, including phone verification and sign-in.
• Publish your listings and show them to other users who are browsing or searching.
• Connect buyers and sellers and enable messaging between them.
• Show relevant results based on category, price, and location.
• Detect, prevent, and respond to fraud, abuse, spam, and violations of our Terms.
• Improve Lebalist, fix problems, and develop new features.

Lebalist is a public marketplace. When you publish a listing, its contents — including the title, description, price, photos, general location, and your public display name or username — are visible to other users on the app and website, and may appear in search engines. Do not include information in a listing that you do not want to be public. Your phone number is only shared in the ways you choose when contacting or being contacted about a listing.

We do not sell your personal information. We share information only as needed to run Lebalist:

• With other users — the public parts of your profile and listings, as described above.
• With service providers — trusted companies that host our infrastructure, store images, deliver messages, and help us operate the platform, under obligations to protect your data.
• For legal reasons — when required by law, or to protect the rights, safety, and property of Lebalist, our users, or the public.

We keep your information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the service. When you delete a listing it is removed from public view; some information may be retained for a limited period to comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements.

We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your information, including secured connections and access controls. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security. Keep your sign-in details private and contact us if you believe your account has been compromised.

• Access and update your profile information from your account at any time.
• Edit or delete your listings whenever you choose.
• Request deletion of your account and associated personal data by contacting us.
• Control device-level permissions such as photos and location through your device settings.

Lebalist is not intended for anyone under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a minor has provided us with personal information, please contact us so we can remove it.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the “Last updated” date above and, where appropriate, notify you in the app or on the website. Your continued use of Lebalist after changes take effect means you accept the updated policy.
