Terms & Conditions

Lebalist is an online marketplace that lets people in Lebanon publish, discover, buy, sell, and rent goods and services. Lebalist provides the platform that connects buyers and sellers. We are not a party to the transactions between users, and we do not own, inspect, or guarantee any item or service listed.

• You must be at least 18 years old and able to enter into a binding agreement to use Lebalist.
• You are responsible for the information you provide and for keeping your account secure.
• You are responsible for all activity that happens under your account.
• Notify us promptly if you suspect any unauthorised use of your account.

You are solely responsible for the listings and content you publish. By posting, you confirm that:

• You own or have the right to sell, rent, or offer what you list.
• Your listing is accurate, lawful, and not misleading.
• Your photos and descriptions do not infringe anyone else’s rights.
• You will honour the price and terms you advertise to a genuine buyer.

You retain ownership of the content you post. By posting, you grant Lebalist a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, display, and distribute that content for the purpose of operating and promoting the Service.

You agree not to use Lebalist to:

• List items or services that are illegal, stolen, counterfeit, or otherwise prohibited under Lebanese law.
• Post false, fraudulent, misleading, or spam content, or impersonate another person.
• Harass, threaten, defraud, or harm other users.
• Circumvent fees, manipulate rankings, or interfere with the proper working of the Service.
• Scrape, copy, or harvest data from the platform without our written permission.
• Upload viruses or attempt to gain unauthorised access to our systems or other accounts.

Any agreement, payment, exchange, or meeting arising from a listing is solely between the buyer and the seller. Lebalist does not handle payments for user transactions, verify the quality or legality of items, or guarantee that a transaction will be completed. We strongly encourage you to meet in safe public places, inspect items before paying, and use common sense. You deal with other users at your own risk.

We may review, remove, or restrict any listing or content, and may suspend or terminate any account, at our discretion — for example, where we believe these Terms or applicable law have been violated, or to protect the safety and integrity of the marketplace. Where reasonable, we will aim to give notice, but we may act immediately when necessary.

The Lebalist name, logo, design, and software are owned by Lebalist and protected by applicable intellectual property laws. These Terms do not grant you any right to use our branding without our prior written consent. The licence you grant us over your own content is described above.

The Service is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure, or that listings are accurate, lawful, or fit for any particular purpose.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Lebalist and its team will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for any loss arising from your use of the Service or from dealings, transactions, or disputes with other users. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law.

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the “Last updated” date above and, where appropriate, notify you. Your continued use of Lebalist after the changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Lebanon, and the courts of Lebanon will have jurisdiction over any dispute, without prejudice to any mandatory consumer protections available to you.
